Lennie
For over two decades, Lennie has been creating beautiful hairstyles at some of New York’s City’s finest salons. Trained at the Aveda Institute, Lennie always keeps up with the latest trends and treatments, including different keratin treatments. His specialty is precision cutting for all hair types and textures. Aveda educator with training from the Aveda Institutes in Minneapolis, New York, Los Angeles, and Denver, Dakota's journey as a hairstylist began in 1991. Committed to the belief that knowledge flourishes through sharing, he continuously expands his expertise through education and diverse life experiences. Dakota's creative prowess extends beyond the salon chair, as he has lent his talents behind the scenes to various designers, photographers and directors on photoshoots, documentaries, theatre as well as fashion shows in New York, London, Los Angeles and Denver. Michal brings 8 years of experience in creating dimensional color, balayage, and color blocking to Rizza Salon, helping clients achieve anything from high fashion trends to casual everyday looks. With 5 years of experience in print and runway styling and hair design, she is our go-to for updos and set waves. Whether you’re looking for soft natural-looking color or high-contrast dimension, you’re in good hands!
Alan
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Alan has been a Village resident since his City College days where he earned his BA in Art. Hair styling was a means of going to school, which in turn became a career along with Photography. “Hair is a wonderful medium to work in and clients inevitably become friends.” He has worked in several New York salons over a 40-year period including Bleecker People, Bluni Rea, Robert G, Avalon and now Rizza.
Jim
Jim brings 30 years of styling experience to Rizza. Jim has designed haircuts and styles for several Broadway shows and Broadway notables as well as celebrities that range from Alec Baldwin to Blythe Danner. As a visual artist with a strong sense of form and balance, Jim creates shapes and styles that look fantastic whether blow-dried or simply left "wash and go." Jim is excited to bring his rich range of experience to Rizza.
